Irondequoit, N.Y. organized a Memorial Day parade on Sunday to honor and remember service members who lost their lives fighting for our freedom.
Residents gathered along Titus Ave to watch service members drive by and pay their respects to the fallen.
The parade provided an opportunity for neighbors to reflect on the sacrifices made by those who served in the military.
One veteran, Richard Butler, highlighted the various ways people can honor the lives lost, including decorating cemeteries and holding special memorial services.
Butler emphasized the importance of reflecting on the significance of these individuals to our country, the preservation of America, and the values of freedom and democracy.
The Memorial Day parade in Irondequoit allowed the community to come together and show their appreciation for the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice.
