Tragic Blaze Claims Lives of Mother and Son in Manila Residential Fire
Investigation into the Fire's Cause
Manila: In a devastating incident, a 69-year-old woman and her 42-year-old son lost their lives in a residential area fire early Thursday morning in Manila, the capital of the Philippines.
Fire Breaks Out and Spreads Rapidly
The Fire Protection Bureau of the Philippines provided this information. Fire Superintendent Eduardo Lunn reported that the fire ignited at approximately 12:30 a.m. local time and quickly spread. Firefighters managed to bring the blaze under control by around 3 a.m.
Extensive Damage and Affected Families
The fire consumed at least 20 houses and impacted around 40 families in the area. Eduardo Lunn noted, “The bodies of both victims were found in the bathroom and living room.” The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
