Successful Defense in Southern Donetsk Leads to Significant Casualties and Equipment Losses
Moscow: The Vostok group of Russian forces has effectively repelled eight attacks by the Ukrainian army in the southern Donetsk region, leading to significant casualties and the loss of military equipment.
Vostok Group’s Successful Defense: In a statement made to the Russian news agency Sputnik, Oleg Chekhov, the spokesperson for the Vostok group, reported that their units in the southern Donetsk area successfully thwarted eight attacks, employing artillery fire near Novomikhailivka and north of Nikolske, Urozyn, and Staromoyorske.
Heavy Losses for Ukrainian Forces: Ukraine has sustained substantial casualties, including 145 soldiers, military vehicles, two radar stations, and other equipment. Among the losses were the Polish-made self-propelled tracked gun-howitzer AHS Crab, D-20 and FH-70 howitzers, and five mortar units. The situation underscores the intensity of the confrontations in the region.
